The Centre for Microfluidic System in Chemistry and Biology develops powerful microfluidic applications for accelerated cardiovascular drug development and new therapies for the treatment of myocardial infarction and heart failure.  CMS is focused on the application of microfluidics in therapeutic molecule synthesis, drug screening and tissue engineering. Specialized equipment is organized in three dedicated CMS Nodes and enables researchers from academic and industry to fabricate, characterize and integrate devices, and perform in vitro characterization using automated perfusion culture of cells and cardiovascular micro tissues.
