Confocal Microscopy

The Nikon A1 confocal microscope  is a fully-automated confocal imaging system, capable of capturing high-quality confocal images of cells and molecular events at high speed and enhanced sensitivity. This system comes with 9 objectives:

  • Plan fluor 10x (NA 0.30, WD 15.2 mm)
  • Plan apo 10x (Na 0.45, WD 4.0 mm)
  • Plan apo 20x (NA 0.75, WD 1.0 mm)
  • Plan fluor 40x oil immersion (NA 1.30, WD 0.24 mm)
  • Plan apo 40x (NA 0.95, WD 0.25 – 0.17 mm)
  • Apo LWD 40x water immersion (NA 1.15, WD 0.59 – 0.61 mm)
  • Plan fluor ELWD 40x (NA 0.60, WD 3.6 – 2.8 mm)
  • Apo 60x oil immersion (Na 1.40, WD 0.14 mm)
  • Plan apo TIRF 60x oil immersion (NA 1.45, WD 0.10 – 0.22)

This system comes with 2 cameras:

  • Q imaging Retiga 2000R Fast 1394
  • Confocal imaging system

This system comes with 4 filter cubes:

Live Cell Microscopy

The Zeiss Axio Observer with cage incubator is designed to image live cells over days. The system comes with 5 objectives:

  • EC Plan-Neofluar 10x Ph1 (Na 0.30, WD 5.2)
  • EC Plan-Neofluar 20x (NA 0.50, WD 2.0)
  • EC Plan-Neofluar 40x (NA 0.75, WD 0.71)
  • Plan-Apochromat 63x Oil Im (NA 1.40, WD 0.15)

Nikon inverted microscope with Bruker Bioscope Catalyst AFM

The Nikon Ti inverted microscope with a Bruker Bioscope Catalyst AFM is built for imaging cells and tissues.This system comes with 6 objectives:

  • Nikon 10x (NA 0.25, WD 6.2 mm)
  • Plan fluor 10x (NA 0.30, WD 16 mm)
  • Plan fluor ELWD 20x (NA 0.45, WD 7.4 mm)
  • Nikon LWD 20x (NA 0.40, WD 3.1 mm)
  • Nikon ELWD 40x (NA 0.55, WD 2.7 – 1.7 mm)
  • Plan Fluor ELWD 40x (NA 0.60, WD 3.6 – 2.8 mm)

This system comes with one cameras:

  • iXon EMCCD camera

This system comes with one filter cube:

  • IR filter cube

Fluorescence-Lifetime Imaging Microscopy (FLIM)

The Nikon inverted fluorescent microscope with Lambert frequency domain FLIM system is used to used to image fluorescent and phosphorescent lifetimes. The system comes with 5 objectives:

  • Plan Fluor 4x (Na 0.13, WD 17.2)
  • Plan Apo 10x DIC N1 (Na 0.45, WD 4.0)
  • Plan Apo 20x DIC N2 (NA 0.75, WD 1.0)
  • S Plan Fluor ELWD 40x DIC N1 (NA 0.60, WD 3.6 – 2.8)
  • Plan Apo 60x DIC N2 Oil Im (NA 1.40, WD 0.13)

The CMS has a inverted microscope for bright field and fluorescent imaging. The set-up is designed to fit other equipment such as syringe pumps in the immediate area.

This system has four objectives:

  • Plan fluor 4x (Na 0.13, WD 17.2 mm)
  • Plan fluor 10x (Na 0.30, WD 16 mm)
  • Plan Fluor ELWD 20x (NA 0.45, WD 8.2 – 6.9 mm)
  • Plan apo ELWD 40x (NA 0.60, WD 3.6 – 2.8 mm)

This system has two cameras:

  • Q imaging Exi blue
  • iXon EMCCD camera

This system had six filter cubes:

  • DIC
  • TxRed
  • 79000
  • DAPI
  • FITC
  • PtOEP

Notes

Keep in mind when using the microscopes that Plan objectives are flat field corrected and Apo objetives are apochromatically corrected so if you are using blue+green/red dyes you will need to use an Apo objective.
